Objectives
I am very interested in learning new things. I am a quick learner and a hard worker. I have always loved computers especially the design aspect of it. New programs, new concepts, and various ways completing a task are things I love learning about. There is always a solution to any problem; the fun is figuring it out. I am constantly looking for easier and faster ways of completing a task or managing my work. I also enjoy assisting others anyway that I can. I love having fun and love working in a friendly work environment.
Education
Aug 2006 - Present | UVU Digital Media Department | Orem, UT
Graduation Date: June of 2010
I am currently studying at Utah Valley University with an emphasis in the web track. With most of my work experience in WYSIWYG programming I am turning my focus on XHTML and CSS through hard coding practices. I also stepped into the art department to further my studies in Graphic Design and Photography.
Professional Experience
Jan 2006 - Feb 2009 | Heritage Web Solutions | Provo, UT
Outsource Designer (Aug 2007 - Feb 2009)
When I decided to go back to school my schedule wouldn't work with Heritage so I began doing their outsource program where I request work when I need it and can work with my schedule as long as the work gets done. Photoshop CS3 and FrontPage are the programs I use. I have built or helped build well over 400 websites in the last 2 years. I have also been active in the Logo Design side of things as well.
Graphic Designer (Jan 2007 - Aug 2007)
By the time I became a Designer the policy had changed. We no longer had an HTML Specialist; the Designers built the site from start to finish excluding E-commerce, Database, and Flash. I use Photoshop CS2, CS3, Frontpage, Filezilla, and ConText.
Team Lead (Aug 2006 - Jan 2007)
I was responsible for a team of six in the Updates department. I performed performance evaluations and assisted in project management. My duties were to increase sales, increase productivity, and maintain the system of incoming updates. I then assigned the updates to my team and then assisted in helping with their work load by working along side of them. Within 3 months I had decreased the workload by half and doubled the sales from previous months.
HTML Specialist (Jan 2006 - Aug 2006)
When I was hired I started out as an HTML specialist. I knew nothing upon starting. After 3 months I became one of their top producers. We use Front Page 2003 and Photoshop CS2. Working as an HTML Specialist I was able to tweak and learn basic design by making Design elements and small changes. Toward the end of August I became a Team Lead over six people.
